An Efficient Translational Motion Compensation Approach for ISAR Imaging of Rapidly Spinning Targets

چکیده
For inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging of rapidly spinning targets, the large migration through range cells (MTRC) results in weak coherence between adjacent echoes, which makes conventional envelope alignment method unable to be applied. By analyzing correlation a translational motion compensation (TMC) for targets is proposed. Firstly, rotation period target estimated by incoherent accumulation echo signal after compression. Secondly, Kalman filtering performed on shift values required maximize coefficient echoes with one difference azimuth time obtain relative and target. Finally, function constructed according compensate phase items caused motion. Furthermore, covariance matrix observation noise also provided. This used achieve high-precision alignment, effectiveness proposed validated simulations.

Translational Motion Compensation Techniques in ISAR Imaging for Target with Micro-Motion Parts
In inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging, micro-motion structures on the target will induce additional time-varying frequency modulations to the radar echoes. Due to the disturbance of these mechanical vibration or rotation parts, it will be difficult to obtain a well-focused ISAR image of the target using conventional translational motion compensation methods. To solve this problem, ...
متن کاملTranslational motion compensation for ISAR imaging under low SNR by minimum entropy
In general, conventional error correction for inverse synthetic aperture radarimaging consists of range alignment and phase adjustment, which compensate range shift and phase error, respectively. Minimum entropy-based methods have been proposed to realize range alignment and phase adjustment. However, it becomes challenging to align high-resolution profiles when strong noise presents, even usin...
متن کاملEigenspace-Based Motion Compensation for ISAR Target Imaging
A novel motion compensation technique is presented for the purpose of forming focused ISAR images which exhibits the robustness of parametric methods but overcomes their convergence difficulties. Like the most commonly used parametric autofocus techniques in ISAR imaging (the image contrast maximization and entropy minimization methods) this is achieved by estimating a target’s radial motion in...
متن کاملNonparametric Rotational Motion Compensation Technique for High-Resolution ISAR Imaging via Golden Section Search
A novel rotational motion compensation algorithm for high-resolution inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging based on golden section search (GSS) method is presented. This paper focuses on the migration through cross-range resolution cells (MTCRRC) compensation, which requires rotation angle and center as priori information. The method performs in a nonparametric way and uses entropy cr...
